Do you work internationally? Do you enjoy the special challenges that working internationally raises? And how well you do you perform when working with people from other countries and cultures? In this workshop-cum-presentation, we will reflect on what competences and behaviours we need for successful international working and I shall present my ideas about how to get the best out of an international team.
Steve Flinders is a director of York Associates, a training company based in York, England, whose mission is to develop people internationally. Steve designs and delivers professional language, communication, intercultural communication and international leadership skills programmes to clients in York and across the world. Joint Workshop
Carol Bausor : "Body Language"
Carol BAUSOR is English, but with a name like that she sometimes also likes to pretend that she is French. An experienced English trainer, she has worked with all trainees of all ages, and says that she often wonders who learns the most: the trainees or the trainer
Today she is facilitating a workshop to demonstrate, in an extremely active manner, some of the differences between French and English. As Toastmasters, we know that communication is more than just the words; in this session, we will be exploring some of the extremely interesting variations amongst the non-verbal parameters. During the workshop, you will all – French and English speakers alike - be talking, moving, gesticulating, vocalizing! Vive la différence!
